Strengths of TOHO HOLDINGS
What we have refined as infrastructure that supports life and health
Nationwide distribution network built up over many years.
Advanced logistics system. Field-oriented customer-centric sales capabilities.
And the comprehensive strength we deliver as a unified group.
The trust we have built over the years is our greatest asset.
01
Synergies between businesses
Companies in the pharmaceutical wholesaling business sell and deliver pharmaceuticals, and develop customer support systems for medical institutions and patients. Pharmacies in the dispensing pharmacy business take advantage of these systems to improve service for patients and increase the operational efficiency of pharmacists. Company in the manufacturing and sales business assesses market needs in cooperation with the pharmaceutical wholesaling and dispensing pharmacy businesses and produces drugs systematically based on such assessment for stable supply. Such close collaboration between and among these three businesses is one of our strengths.
Support born from a “customer-centric mindset.”
02
Customer support system
For more than 30 years, we have been developing customer support systems that contribute to solving stakeholder issues, such as improving the convenience of patients and improving the operational efficiency and profitability of medical institutions and dispensing pharmacies. We offer optimal proposals tailored to the changing times, such as "ENIF", an information terminal for pharmaceutical ordering, "LXMATE HeLios", a medical care appointment system, and "Appointment service for first patients," which allows online pre-registration via medical institution search websites.
We spare no effort to meet even the smallest of needs.
03
Efforts for specialty products
The specialty pharmaceuticals sector is expected to continue growing, and the Company recognized its importance early on. We began focusing our efforts on this field in earnest around 2009 and have since continuously worked to improve our quality control and supply systems. As a result, our specialty pharmaceuticals business has continued to grow steadily year after year, and we expect it to expand further in the future.
Supply capability that proves its true worth even in emergencies
04
Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
To prepare for unforeseen circumstances, we have established a system in which host computers at two locations, one in Tokyo and the other in Osaka, are constantly synchronized to provide backup even if one is damaged by a disaster.
In addition, we have been steadily advancing our BCP (Business Continuity Plan) by enabling remote computer support at our sales offices and distribution centers.
In addition, we implement multifaceted measures, including the implementation of redundant warehouse management systems, coordination among call centers, the deployment of in-house power generators and the installation of backup cold storage units at each location, regular disaster drills, and the registration of approximately 60% of our vehicles as emergency vehicles.
Trust is built on consistent quality control.
05
Quality control
We have acquired international standards for quality control.
The Logistics Division of TOHO PHARMACEUTICAL has acquired ISO 9001:2015 certification (an international standard for quality management systems for products and services) and conducts quality control (certification scope: TBC DynaBASE, TBC Hanshin, TBC Saitama, TBC Hiroshima, TBC Kyushu and TBC Sapporo). In addition, TBC Saitama, TBC Hiroshima and TBC DynaBASE have established logistics systems that comply with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Guidelines, and are working to further strengthen them.
